Positions

Okanagan Microelectronics and Gigahertz Application Laboratory (OMEGA Lab) is in immediate need of one master, two PhD and one postdoctoral students in analog, digital and mixed-mode integrated circuit design area. Potential candidates with deep background on integrated circuit design, simulation and fabrication are invited to apply by submitting their curriculum vitae along with a research statement directly to Prof. Zarifi (mohammad.zarifi@ubc.ca).

Selected candidates will work directly with an outstanding integrated circuit company on a joint industry project toward to commercial products.

Prospective candidates must work well in teams or individually and be familiar with Verilog, simulation tools such as Modelsim, Cadence, HFSS and have experience with ASIC design and verification, as well as FPGA based design on Xilinx platforms. Candidates must be comfortable working in a lab environment with tools such as high-frequency oscilloscopes, clock generators, vector network analyzer and spectrum analyzers.
